@ Biographical on Glick (source: "A Relevant Memoir," pp.17-18):
"Evelyn Harter is an Iowan who knew, when she was a student at the State University of Iowa, that she wanted to be involved in writing and publishing. When she learned that a classics professor at SUI (Charles Weller) was giving a course on printing and engraving just becuause he liked those subjects, she took the course and acquired "the main things I needed to know about printing and typography and the feeling that producing books is useful and congenial work." She went on to work for Scribner's Magazine; the Encyclopedia Britannica; and Jonathan Cape & Harrison Smith publishers; before becoming one of the founders of the Equinox Cooperative Press. About 1933, she married Milton B. Glick, a fellow bookmaker and publisher who also joined Equinox (see pp.50-52).
